COVID-19 CDGA Event Guidelines and Policies


The CDGA has developed and introduced a set of COVID-19 CDGA Event Policies and Guidelines. Please note that each participant in a CDGA event or tournament will automatically sign a mandatory waiver as part of the registration process. The highly successful CDGA Four-Person Scramble Championship presented by Jersey Mike's returns for its sixth iteration in 2024! This year's event once again features flights, giving teams more chances to advance and win. The CDGA Four-Person Scramble Championship is a great way for you to compete alongside friends and family in a casual setting, with fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Format:
  • Four-Person Team "Step Aside/Florida" Scramble
  • Six qualifiers will take place throughout 2024. The number of teams entered at each qualifier will determine the number of flights (maximum of three). The top gross and top net team from each flight at the qualifier will become eligible for the Championship.
  • Teams can participate in more than one qualifier. Each qualifier will be limited to the first 24 teams to sign up.
Forming a Team:
  • Teams may be made up of any four CDGA members at least 21 years of age. All men and women with a Handicap Index® are welcome to participate, as long as they are active CDGA members. To become a CDGA member for 2024, CLICK HERE.
  • Registration fee is $500 per team.
Prizes:
  • Stay & Play trips to French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind. will be awarded at the Championship on Sept. 20 to the top-two gross and top-two net teams in each of three flights.
  • Prizes and giveaways will also be awarded at qualifiers throughout the year and the Championship from the CDGA, Jersey Mike`s, Tour Edge, Zero Friction and Republic Bank.
  • Teams who successfully qualify will receive complimentary entry into the Championship
At each event, Republic Bank will offer two $5,000 hole-in-one prizes for the first aces made on each designated par 3, with $2,500 going to the individual and $2,500 being donated to the CDGA Foundation. CDGA FOUR-PERSON SCRAMBLE CONCLUDES AT BOWES CREEK AS CHAMPIONS CROWNED

ELGIN, Ill. – Bowes Creek Country Club in northwest suburban Elgin played host to the 2024 CDGA Four-Person Scramble Championship presented by Jersey Mike’s on Friday, as 36 teams competed across three flights at the annual host site. Stay & Play trips to beautiful French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind. were awarded to 12 teams, with a host of other prizes from the likes of title sponsor Jersey Mike’s, Chicago Blackhawks, Zero Friction, Republic Bank and the CDGA being handed out, as well.

The season-ending Championship featured teams who earned their respective spots through their finishes at qualifiers held earlier in the season at a host of CDGA member clubs - Glenview Park Golf Club, Palatine Hills Golf Course, Fox Bend Golf Course, The Den at Fox Creek, The Highlands of Elgin and Sunset Valley Golf Golf Club. All in all, 165 four-person teams played in the series throughout the summer.

A flighted and net event, the ever-popular Four-Person Scramble is part of the CDGA’s slate of Social Competitions, which provide casually competitive playing opportunities for golfers of all skill levels, ages and genders.
