The final issue of 2024 focuses on the CDGA's Sunshine Programs and the lasting impact each has made on the golf community, from getting blind veterans on the course to assisting the developmentally disabled to $5 rounds for youth golfers.
The score posting season within the Chicago District has come to a close for the 2024 calendar year. Thank you to our 112,000+ CDGA members and 420 member clubs for yet another successful season that featured more than 2.7 million rounds posted.
With the conclusion of the 2024 CDGA event season, the Association has created a "Best of 2024" photo gallery. This gallery features hundreds of downloadable photos taken by the CDGA's Communications staff throughout the spring, summer and fall.
The CDGA conducted 10 championships and a wide array of Social Competitions in 2024. Also, for the first time, the CDGA administered the Chicago Adaptive Open, where a number of the world's best golfers with physical and intellectual disabilities competed.
Daniel Stringfellow is the 2024 CDGA Player of the Year, with Glenn Przybylski claiming 2024 CDGA Senior Player of the Year honors. Stringfellow is the recipient of the Charles N. Eckstein Trophy, while Przybylski has earned the Raymond B. Anderson Trophy.
